Starting Over Again
If you’re reading this, I hope you are well and staying safe during the current situation in the world.
The last time I wrote a blog was about 3 years ago and so much has happened in my life. Some of the highlights are: working on fantastic projects with my awesome clients, making great memories with family and friends (hiking to the top of Kearsarge Pass with the Soda Crew is one of the best ones with friends), seeing my dad retire and buying my parents an SUV with my brother and SIL, marrying the love of my life who was so worth the wait, and moving to Southern California after spending most of my life in the Bay Area. To say things have changed recently is an understatement.
My shirt is on Teespring!
Wow! It's been quite a while since my last post. In that time I've been busy with projects, looking into some options for low quantity apparel printing, and doing a lot of traveling.
A couple years ago I designed and printed some tshirts to raise awareness for human trafficking. When I came across Teespring, I knew I wanted to try their service and offer the design again. If you're interested, the shirts are available here: Stop Human Trafficking Shirt
Just Finished My Latest Website Design Using Squarespace
Do you remember the 90s or even the early 2000s? I do. I remember when you had to use a dial up modem just to "connect" to the internet. The ridiculous sound it made while it dialed into the connection was both horrifying and comedic. Back in those days, businesses would spend 10s of thousands of dollars to create their website. They'd have to hire a web design company and probably wait months on end while the site was being created.
Busy, Busy, but a Good Busy
What a crazy blur it's been the last month and a half. It's definitely been super busy. Some of it has been work related and some of it has been personal. The personal things that kept me busy were definitely worth it! The highlight was my little brother getting married! What an amazing day filled with so many emotions. It was the culmination of so much thought and planning, it's amazing how quickly the day came and went.
Work, work, and it hit 103° today in San Jose!!!
103°. Yup, you read that right. It hit 103° here in San Jose today. I always thought I could handle the heat, but today I was treated to a hot dose of reality. I can't. The older I get, the less I can handle the heat and the stickiness that results from sweating. While I was driving home from my friend's house, the AC in car was even struggling to fight off the heat from outside.
My Best Engagement Shoot Ever
I love photographing people. Families. Kids. Couples. Corporate head shots. I love them all. There's something magical when you can capture a person's personality, character, and even the vibe they give off.
This past month was pretty busy as usual with lots of meetings, design deadlines, and a few fun photo shoots. The best and most rewarding photo shoot was the one I did for my little brother and my future sister in law.
Bothell High School girls Volleyball
The last 5 weeks has been crazy busy for me. I seriously don’t know where all the time went. This makes me realize how difficult it is to keep up with this blog. But I will do better to keep adding blog post each week.
One of the fun projects I worked on during the last 5 weeks was for Bothell High School Volleyball. They approached me to design a logo, schedule, and banners for their seniors and teams. While I was working with the volleyball team, the ASB got in touch with me to design a 9 foot wide banner for their gym.
